 weight management plansWe know that proper nutrition is key to getting healthy for life, and while it’s the most important element, physical activity is also fundamental. If you want to improve your health and well-being, you’ll need to incorporate workout program to supplement any diets or weight management plans you plan to follow. However, there are other ways to maximize these efforts that can also help transform your entire lifestyle.

Once you’ve established a solid exercise regimen program, strive to find ways to maximize the amount you move each day. Not only will you increase your caloric burn, you’ll move further down the path to getting healthy for life. Here are some ideas to get you started in the right direction.

Walk. Walking is extremely beneficial—it helps prevent osteoporosis and diabetes, and reduces the risk of stroke. In a perfect world, you would do both exercise and walking programs. If you’re not entirely down for that, then simply make it a point to walk as much as you can. Walk to do all your neighborhood errands or take a 15 minute walk at lunch. Park your car on the opposite end of the parking lot from where you are going, take the stairs instead of the elevator or walk the escalator rather than just stand there if that’s your only option.

Cook. Cooking your own meals is ideal for achieving better health through nutrition since you can control all your ingredients. Yet what people forget is that cooking is another way to burn calories.  You’re going to stand for a period of time, reach for ingredients, lift pots and pans, stir, whisk and grill—you get the idea. When you look at the experience as a whole, think of how much better it is for you than if you were sitting at a restaurant, being waited on and completely sedentary, eating a fattening meal!

Clean. Obviously, you improve your quality of life when you reside in a clean, uncluttered environment. Why not set aside a couple hours every week to clean your house? Vacuum your rugs and carpets, scrub or mop the floors, dust, wash dishes and clean the bathroom. Install and organize those wire shelves that are unopened in their box. Reorganize your closet or bathroom. All that moving enhances the results of weight management plans by burning calories while giving you time to clear your mind. 

Be creative—think about your daily routine and tasks and you’re certain to find many ways to squeeze in some extra activity.

I couldn't be happier! The staff is awesome... though I only have seen the doctor twice, I'm ok because the team is great! The only issue for me really is...
